Job seekers

Call us on 1300 635 627 or email us and we will put you in touch with a consultant who can assist you with the process and answer any of your questions.

This will vary from person to person and depends on things such as your skills, employment goals, your personal level of commitment and what's happening in the labour market. One thing you can rely upon though is our commitment to helping you find and secure a job. However long the journey takes, we will be with you every step of the way.

If you find it difficult to do your job, we may be able to make adjustments to your workplace by getting approval to buy you equipment or special tools to help you do your job.

Yes, you can! The Supported Wage System is set up for employees with barriers or disabilities who are not able to perform jobs at the same capacity as any other employee. Under this system, special workplace arrangements are created so that employers can pay wages to that person based on how productive they are in their job.

They sure will. We have so many great employers ready to take on willing workers, just like you. We've supported thousands of job seekers to find jobs they love and you could be next.

We definitely can, depending on your age and eligibility. Mylestones Employment has supported hundreds of students to take the first step in their career.

It’s simple, just call 1300 635 627 and we'll take it from there.

Employers

Mylestones Employment is dedicated to matching the skills of our job seekers to the skills needed for your role. We do everything we can to ensure it's a good fit before we put them forward to you. Just as every job is different, so is every job seeker. Our role is to put the pieces together to find the perfect match.

If the work placement isn’t going as planned, our team will work closely with you to develop support strategies to help get everything back on track. We can identify issues and implement recommendations that will work towards positive outcomes for both you and your employee.

Our service is funded by the Department of Social Services so it is cost-free for all employers and job seekers. As an employer, you can access different types of financial assistance from the Australian Government, which include wage subsides, schemes and financial assistance for workplace modifications and aids. You can read more about wage subsidies and incentives here.

In most cases, none. But in some cases, you may need to make modifications to your workplace or provide specialised equipment when employing someone with disability or barrier to employment. These can be small things like installing sound reducing devices, making sure you can provide work areas with temperature control or removing loose mats and obvious obstacles around your workplace.

Some examples of workplace modifications:

•    An employee in an admin role had a customised desk and ramp installed
•    An employee in a kitchen role had had an adjustable, electric bench installed
•    Specific computer screens can be provided for employees with a vision impairment

We will work with you to identify what modifications could benefit, and then apply for government funding to assist with these modifications.

Just a simple phone call or email! Contact our team on 1300 635 627 and one of our team members will discuss your requirements and find the right fit for your business…. it’s that easy.
