Types of support
As a Disability Employment Services provider (DES), we support people with barriers to work, to find a job. We do this with support from the Federal Government’s JobAccess program. The JobAccess program is split into two different types of support:
- Employment Support Services (also known as ESS)
- Disability Management Services (also known as DMS)
How do you get DMS or ESS support? You’ll need to check if you’re eligible. We can help you do this, or you can contact Centrelink directly.
Employment Support Services (ESS)
Employment Support Services (ESS) are for you if you have a mental health barrier, a disability, illness or injury; need help to find a job; and will need long-term, regular support at work. If you're eligible for ESS, contact us and we'll book you in for an appointment to discuss your goals and set up a plan just for you.
Disability Management Services (DMS)
Disability Management Services (DMS) are for you if you only need short-term but regular support at work. You must have a disability, illness or injury and need help to find a job. If you’re eligible for DMS support, contact us and we’ll book you in for an appointment to discuss your goals and set up a plan just for you.
"Mylestones Employment supported me from the start. They supported me with my resume and transport between interviews. They helped me get ready for interviews and gave me guidance about applying for jobs; it just made the whole process simpler." - Brittany Wintzlof, Lollipops Playland & Cafe
